Why such an old version with a 1 year expiring license I have a non-expiring license giveaway of version 2.6 here and had it for quite a while. 2.0 is buggy and depreciated why offer it again with a trial license?

Thanks. This seems to becoming a habit. This program, even using this dated version, seems quite capable. Thanks for this!
Every time I try to use any of the AI engines it goes to download them but immediately fails, either their server is down or has changed URL’s to get “AI inference” but it is non-functional without them, leaving only manual selection which defeats the object of the exercise! For me I found a workaround that seems to work. I checked for updates and it found the current version 2.5 and offered to download and update, I accepted and it downloaded restarted when prompted and upgraded and rejected the giveaway license. SO was in trial mode. Tried AI selections and this time they downloaded correctly when selected and launched. I then exited the program and re-installed the giveaway 2.0 version and it downloaded to a different sub-folder some of the AI inferences and used some of the previously downloaded AI inferences. My experiences on a photo of some trees it assumed all of it was background on all AI models but the samples worked well other photos I used had varying results.
