What is Breathedge?

About the game

Breathedge is a first-person survival game about the only person left alive after a space hearse breaks up in orbit. You start with a suit, a small oxygen supply and a debris field full of coffins, and you work outward from there, scavenging scrap, taping together tools, assembling vehicles and eventually pressurising a station of your own. A conspiracy plot runs underneath it, played for jokes rather than tension, and an immortal chicken tags along. RedRuins Softworks shipped 1.0 in February 2021 after two and a half years in early access.

Yes. Epic’s first Breathedge giveaway opened on 27 April 2023. RedRuins also ran a short Steam giveaway that ended on 9 August 2026, so check both libraries before you spend a click here.

Is this the full game or the Cosmic Cluck spin-off?

The Epic listing is the base game at 100% off. Breathedge: Cosmic Cluck, the VR spin-off, is a separate purchase and is not included. Breathedge 2 enters early access on 31 August 2026 and is not part of this giveaway either.
