Notch Effects looks great upright and breaks in landscape
Its real strength is placement: you can drag the effect to wherever your front camera actually sits and resize it, instead of being stuck with a centred hole. The weak spots come from reviews between August 2024 and January 2026, which report the effect sliding off the cutout in landscape, size and position sliders that lag and run backwards, resizing that knocks the ring off centre, an “Extra” option that turns out to be a static image you can’t switch off, and no dark mode for the app’s own white settings screen.
What it does
- Looping fire, snow, ring and other effects wrapped around the camera cutout
- Works as a charging indicator, or stays on even when the phone isn’t plugged in
- Size and position controls, so the effect lines up with an off-centre camera hole
- Needs no internet access, according to the developer
