Because it just automates the creation of zip file backups of the chosen file sets with optional encryption it cannot restore ACL’s or alternate data streams associated with a files that are backed up and later restored.
Too simplistic for the DRM system it imposes on even the free trial user! I recommend Ashampoo backup pro 26 or later if it appears as a giveaway as it’s lifetime license especially if you can get the key without creating an ashampoo account like I did:-)

While the free version (free for private use only) works(!) identical, but, it´s nice to get the full Pro version for free. (Pro version without reminder screens popping up!)
I strongly suspect this does not backup to cloud without the 3rd party cloud providers local client providing an enumerable cloud folder, my reasoning being the version history makes no mention of the word “cloud” or any known cloud provider and I find it extremely unlikely this had native support for all current cloud providers from its inception and never needed to upgrade the protocols for different authentication methods over the years.
IF my suspicions are correct the “cloud backups” are just as vulnerable to ransomware encryption as local files or any other file stored via the local cloud clients. So don’t think your safe from losing access to your own data in the even of a ransomware attack.
I have not found out for sure as I don’t give out my emails to untrustworthy vendors that demand the right to spam you from the start even if they give you an unsubscribe link and also make dubious feature claims like this one has. And without giving them an email it is impossible to even try out the personal edition let alone the pro! That’s assuming their emails are accepted by all email providers and never fail to arrive which NO ONE can guarantee as email is not an assured delivery mechanism.

Stores backup on local drives such as hard disks, USB sticks, floppy disks, on Local Area
Networks (LAN) storage or in cloud folders. Select the target folder via a Windows-recognizable browser, by which the corresponding folder or the preferred drive is selected by left-clicking on the mouse.”
