What is Bad Cheese?

About the game

Bad Cheese is a short first-person horror game from solo developer Simon Lukasik, published by Feardemic. You play a young mouse stuck at home for a weekend with an unstable father while Mom is away. Most of your time goes on household jobs that Dad hands out, with snacks and collectible action figures tucked around the house as the only reward. Everything is drawn in the bouncy style of 1920s animation, and that look is the main draw.

OpenCritic has it at 69 from 14 critics, with 43% recommending it. Critics like the art far more than the play: Gamereactor found it failed at being scary and could only recommend it for a look at the visuals, while FingerGuns rated it a passable evening for teenagers who enjoy Five Nights at Freddy’s. On Steam, players rate it Mostly Positive across 644 reviews, though recent reviews are Mixed.
Claim it if you want to see 1920s cartoon style turned into horror and have two hours spare.
Skip it if you want real scares, or a game about keeping an abusive father calm is not your idea of a night in.
