At the time I mentioned that Eset and W/Microsoft antivirus flagged this giveaway version of Wise Care Pro. Notice the defining words, “this version”, as I never had any other version being flagged. Also, read what those security programs flagged it for. Yet, I was replied to that so many anti/security type programs always flag Wise Care, especially with Virus Total.
Ummm, understand, I have various programs that check out my computer for different problems that may or may not infect it, and they all get along. I have been at this for close to 2o years, maybe a bit of a nerd. Therefore, maybe this giveaway version was NOT put together properly and exhibits characteristics which caused it to be flagged, stuff happens, as I am not a programmer, shrugs. Oh don’t think if any of these security programs flags something, I whine and pull my hair out, NO, I go and research what is going on and maybe why, if it is a program that has been on my computer for a bit. A new program, I just do not go to the extreme of checking, and just look at what is being flagged, and if I do not like what I see or can not verify any checksum, 98% of the time, delete that new program, if it was not already deleted or quarantined.
I re-loaded my previous giveaway version 6.6.3.633, and would you believe it if I said, not a peep from any program flagging it (there is no reason, as that was on both my laptops for a while before .665 came out)? Now I am not saying there is or there is not any serious problem with the .665 version, yet .633 does the job fine and I will stick to it, without my security programs losing their AI minds, and constantly deleting the newer .665 from videofactory. Your mileage may vary, and what I do for my computer has no bearing on anyone else, or what they do.
I will continue to only use version .663, as I do like and enjoy using WC 365 Pro. I do not need the latest and so called greatest, nor do I worry about losing out on any giveaway program if my security programs do not like them, and keep going AI ballistic. Btw, I am fully aware of virus total, and have used it, and at times, with a grain of salt looking at the results. Anyways, Just thought I would reply to your reply.

I have a problem with the latest giveaway file of this program, WiseCare365_6.6.5.635_videoconverterfactory.exe. This is the first time any antivirus has flagged a Wise Care 365 giveaway file, Eset and Microsoft Defender. In particular, Eset actually deleted this version of WC 365 exe for this reason; A variant of Win32?WiseCleaner.E potentially unwanted application.
WDefender flagged and quarantined the download exe for the following reason;
“Misleading:Win32/Lodi
Detected by Microsoft Defender Antivirus
Aliases: No associated aliases
This program makes misleading or fraudulent claims about the files, registry entries, or other items on your PC.”
So, what is up with that and has anyone verified this file as being safe? I will go back to an older version which does not have these problems.
