WinningPC has been very helpful here in trying to get licenses for those of us who have struggled to figure this out – thank you so much.

That being said … the program seems limited to, I don’t know, standard fixes, nothing very learning or intelligent.
For example, I opened a JPG in Notepad, deleted a few characters, added a few spaces, and the program could not even figure out that the rest of the content was an image of any kind.
And it doesn’t work on BMP images, hence my guess that hey have a limited number of routines inside, already pre-programmed.
It asks for a good working sample image from the same camera, so it can compare, which is useless for images or videos that we did not capture from our own camera, but that we or someone else edited and saved, or copied from elsewhere.
I could not find a place to download sample corrupt image or video files, so if anyone knows of samples, please share, so we can test.
This may be a good palce to start comparisons to other programs, and give Tenorshare feedback so they can improve.
Considering the incredible advances in AI artificial intelligence programming, I consider this program to be very ‘old school’ in that it has no intelligence, only pre-programmed algorythms.
And not very expansive or sophisticarted algorythms at that, see

for examples of patters a program like this could look for inside an image file, but even though the file I tested was full of such patterns, this program repaired nothing, recovered nothing.
I think this is a repackaging of a standard file repair toolkit that goes around the programmer’s world, this is just like many other programs of this type.
This offers nothing new or special.
Too bad, for all our work trying to get at it.
C’mon, Tenorshare, do some original programming, and impress the world with something new ( something worth paying for ).
This is why we expect to test drive programs free – because we need to see if they are worth paying for, and we’re willing to trade our time and expertise in thoughtful testing and reviews.
That’s a priceless benefit to the original programmers.
