I installed AHD-9, presented my years-long email address of an existing account, logged in like I did with other Ashampoo software, but does not accept the license I am being given on the page, claiming is just for testing (Dein kostenloser Vollversionsschlüssel für Ashampoo® Home Design 9: …) and that my account does not have an existing license. So what is going on?

Thank you very much for the response. The key indeed worked, for which I’m grateful.
Strangely, though, when I wanted to import some project we had worked for months in the Home Design 8, I also got as a Giveaway the files could not be found and in fact a search in all Windows files, only “example” files had the “Date-Endung”/file type(?) of files saved by the program.
If one went to Files/Datei => Open, the program remembered where the saved files were saved and easy to find. This time there nothing where it opens.
No one deleted the files and in fact the notebook where it is installed is hardly used.
So my question is what could have happened to the files in HD-8?
It is a strange problem.
Could it be Home Design deletes saved projects after say months of no use?
Just wondering!
Any possible explanation?

It’s possible that there’s a compatibility issue between Home Design 8 and Home Design 9. 3D Models cannot be exported to Alembic, or FBX, or OBJ, or Collada, or STL, which makes a program like this to a joke for an old 3D nerd like me.
The Render Engine is for todays standards way too slow and of rather poor quality. For rendering at higher quality you would need to be able to export the model to an exchangeable file format. This, as we know will never happen. If you need that functionality, however, look elsewhere.
