It didn’t like that I was browsing using my phone – it needed a desktop browser to work correctly.
Once installed it claims to be V1.5
Once “activated” it claims to be Giveaway V1.0

It’s been a while since I’ve seen this shoddy an offering.
EaseUS have responded to my support ticket to them.
Please note everyone that the winningpc version does install and CAN be activated – but the process is quite clunky and might take several attempts – with different browsers – until you can get it to work. Not promising.

So. On the winningpc page for EaseUS VoiceWave there is a section 4 called “Main Features”, subtitled “Feature Highlights”.
Feature Highlight #3 says:
Soundboard: Access over 300 sound effects to add fun and creativity to your audio projects.
IMO it is NOT alright to advertise this feature and then not supply it.
Feature Hightlight #11 says:
Text-to-Speech: Convert text into natural-sounding speech to enhance user engagement and accessibility in your content.
Again, it is NOT OK to list this as a feature and then not supply it. HOWEVER, the (currently free) online text-to-speech functionality at https://multimedia.easeus.com/ai-voice-generator/ does work, offers a range of pretty good-sounding (to me at least) voices and offers MP3, WAV, and FLAC download formats. I have not tested it thoroughly, and it does seem to be a bit clunky (you have to press a button twice, once to produce the speech and a second time to hear it), but it seems to be free at the moment and is certainly good enough for my usual “You have new mail”, “A device has connected” and “I am currently running on battery power” type sound files. Their user interface may improve over time.
I think you may have downloaded the wrong installer. Please check our giveaway section and download the correct installer file.

As has been mentioned elsewhere, installation and registration can be a little frustrating, but I managed to get it done. Please ignore the update that is supposedly available – that would take you from “Giveaway V1.0” to “Retail V2.7” which does not recognize the giveaway activation and tells you to downgrade to version 1.0.
