It uses system fonts, and since I use NaTo Mono ( directory listings line up vertically ), the words in the program overlap or wander off the program screen.
It wants to remove ALL my original HP/Compaq driver installation setup files from C:\SwSetup – ouch!
The report screens are not resizable, so we cannot always see the entire filename of what is to be deleted, but it wants to remove all thumbnails from C:\Users\…\AppData\Local\Temp\AudialsImageCache\23, for example – we have to browse outside the program to find the entire names to be deleted.
There are no options, no configuration controls, and no way to manually add exceptions.
It works on the system drive C: only, and does not appear to be able to be redirected to clean any other drive.
Because it defaults to deleting original hardware installation resources, I’d rate this critically dangerous in novice hands.
Conclusion: not ready for prime time, this is v1.1, and hardly offers anything competitive, and is dangerous.
Alternatives:
Free Glary Utilities, free KCleaner, free RevoUninstaller ( has Tools, Cleaners ), free Temp File Cleaner by AdPCs ( old v3.1.1, can be redirected to clean any drive ), free Temp File Cleaner by Old Timer ( see Bleeping Computer downloads ), and so many more.
Even Windows included %windir%\system32\cleanmgr.exe is safer and in some ways more complete and manageable, more tunable.
I hope Sorcim tries the alternatives and then develops a more appropriate and competitive product – good luck to them.
