Great start, but:
1 – can’t drag-and-drop files onto it, can’t send files to it, must open files from with it using [ Select Log File… ] or File>Select Log File…
2 – it apparently tosses spaces, losing visual formatting
3 – can’t select individual items, only lines
4 – search is not a search as much as it’s a filter, showing all lines with the search term
5 – there are no line numbers, no original file line numbers, and no search results line numbers
6 – unable to compare 2 LOGs
7 – uses single panel file-open dialog without showing the directory tree, so it’s hard to navigate looking for LOGs, can’t search for LOGs Windows File Manager under File>Open
8 – slow to load large files, should probably immediately display the first screenful of lines as it loads the rest of the file
9 – long lines fall off the right side with no way to pan across to read them, no line wrapping
10 – no file history to go back and forth, unable to load ‘next/prior’ log in a directory, for example,
11 – unable to search a drive for LOGs and open them in sequence and or comparison
12 – can’t open a read-only file in use by another process, can’t read a ‘live’ LOG
… and so on.
So, thanks, but it’s shy of way too many features to offer many benefits, compared to
– free IrfanView that can open logs and go back and forth through a directory of LOGs and even show thumbnail browsing to view a directory of LOGs,
– included Notepad,
– free Notepad++,
… and so many other file and text browsing and editing programs.
