How to install SQL Planner on your Windows/ Server?
Download and install Microsoft SQL Server Express and SSMS to your computer.
Download the SQL Planner setup file above then extract it, and run the SQLPlannerSetup.exe file to start! You should click on the “Read Instruction First – Install” or “Watch in Youtube” to read their instructions (install ISS, Turn windows feature on or off,…):
Open SSMS and log in the SQL server by Windows Authentication method:
Now you should change the SA account password if you don’t have this information. In the Object Explorer, expand Security and then Logins, double click the SA login:
On the General page, enter the desired password and confirm it => Click OK
Switch to the Status page, enable the login by SA account as below picture:
Next, you need to change server authentication mode:
– In SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS) Object Explorer, right-click the server, and then select Properties
– On the Security page, under Server authentication, select the new server authentication mode, and then select OK.
In Object Explorer, right-click your server, and then select Restart. If SQL Server Agent is running, it must also be restarted.
Go back to SQL Planner, enter the SA account then click “Install” to finish installation:
Access http://localhost/SQLPlanner/ and login with Admin/Admin:
